About

I love Jesus. I spent a lot of time in my atheistic adolescence writing angry poems/song lyrics, but eventually in my late 20s I took my still maturing faith and turned my writing passion towards glorifying God, which became this blog.

My hope is that you will find this blog encouraging in your faith walk. My prayer is that the words here will challenge you, motivate you, and inspire you towards choosing Jesus as Lord over your life.

I won’t pretend to have it all together, I need just as much help as anyone. We’re all in this together as the body of Christ. None of us can do this on our own. The world needs the love of Jesus.

I pray you will find yourself welcome here on these pages, knowing you are not alone in your struggles, and that you will sense God’s presence as you seek Him in Jesus.

When I’m not writing, my hobbies include weight-lifting, going for walks in nature, and watching movies. With my Bachelor of Science in Film, I also like to take my film discipline and knowledge, and combine it with my faith in Christ to critique certain films, which I publish under “Movie Reviews” on this blog. I’m so glad you’re here and I really hope these articles help you on your faith journey!

Matthew 7:14 “But small is the gate and narrow the way that leads to life, and only a few find it.”

Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

  1. Hi, I can feel your enthusiasm for Christ right here on your About page and I’m sure He will be with you and through you in all you do. Keep the flames of faith well and truly fanned so they never dim.
    God bless ๐Ÿ˜Š

      1. It may be difficult to imagine, but the Lord has a purpose for each of us. Read Romans 8:28-29 and see there are some he loves more than others. Why? They respond to him in the way he wants them to respond. They are the called and they love him. He works all things together for the good of those people. Keep searching. Remember who created you and why.

  2. Hi Lance. I saw your note in the Community Pool and thought I’d pop over to say Hi and wish you happy blogging.

As for suggestions, have you ever seen J S Park’s blog. he’s a Christian writing about spiritual things; looking over his blog might give you a feel of what can and should be done. As I look over your recent posts (By the way, I think you need to install a Recent Posts widget) I see that your blog posts are really long. A lot of people will get weary and not finish such long posts. Can you break them down into several more focused posts? If you take a peek at flatlanderfaith.com, you’ll see my husband Bob mostly posts shorter articles — about right I’d say.

    1. Ranjeeta, thank you for your thoughtfulness! I apologize for not responding sooner. Yes, my birthday is this month, a bit later on the 18th. Thank you for being so kind. ๐Ÿ™‚ God bless!

    1. Kristen, I’m so incredibly humbled by your words! Thank you! I look forward to writing my article on this, and I am very touched that you considered me. ๐Ÿ™‚ God bless you, and may He continue to flood you with His grace, love, and joy!
