This is for someone out there. I hope it’s you.
UNTAMED, INCORRUPTIBLE WORD OF GOD
There’s a lot of spiritual backfiring going on in the world today. As a fellow brother Christ-follower, I’m here to remind you: don’t give up the faith. The devil loves to bark loud to scare off the sheep, but the only weapons he really has are temptation, and the manipulation of the Truth. But we have the sword of the Spirit: the untamed, incorruptible Word of God. Resisting him, rebuking him, and fleeing sin are weapons the devil cannot overcome in the name of Jesus Christ.
FEAR NOT!
Feeling unsure about circumstances you’re facing? Feeling dubious? Hesitant about how to push forward? Are you afraid of making the wrong decision? Fear not (Isaiah 41:10). God tells us repeatedly in Scripture not to have fear, but in surrender and supplication, give all our anxieties to Him in prayer (Philippians 4:6). Trust in His name above all names.
There’s nothing our God can’t handle. There’s nothing our God can’t do (Luke 1:37). There’s no limitation. The highest risk is not praying and missing out on some of God’s greatest blessings.
DISCERNING HIS VOICE CLEARLY ABOVE THE REST
We all need to spend this time praying and learning to discern God’s voice apart from our own—and the world’s—in our lives. We need to practice listening and trusting what we hear to be His voice. We need to learn spiritual discernment and build the confidence to know when God is telling us an answer to a prayer so we can give Him praise by recognizing His signature on it.
This is God’s will for us: to know Him (relationship of faith in Jesus Christ), to know His voice (Truth), and to live into the purpose He created us for.
USE THE MOST EFFECTIVE RESOURCES YOU HAVE
The devil will try to mess us up, and many times, he will succeed. That’s alright, Jesus told us He has overcome the world—so repent, turn from your mistakes and live free. Follow Christ! Read Scripture, pray, attend life groups with supportive, genuine, fire-hot Christ-followers who want to encourage you to grow spiritually.
BEING REFINED INTO MATURITY
This isn’t the end. It’s just one of the many hiccups God is allowing to test you, refine you, and cause you to grow more mature and prepared for His eternal kingdom. Do not be alarmed by the world. Everything must come to pass before the end (Matthew 24:6).
LIVE OUT WHAT YOU WERE CALLED TO DO
Keep your hope, keep your faith—keep believing in the God of miracles! Have confidence in His work in your life, and be ready for the fantastical to take shape before you very eyes! The God of glory is alive and well, and is coming back soon. Life is so short, and there’s a reason you’re here. Discover it in Christ (not in the world), and live it out until the very end.
